Abundance

Funny the pressures we put on love
hurt and pain from missed expectations
love is laughter, joy, freedom
we are not things or possessions

when water boils steam wafts and spreads
so is love as nature intended
when seeds fall, takes root, embeds
the earth blossoms, is reinvented

I wish I could say “I love you” freely
without giving you a scare
you don’t need to say it back to me
I have enough and more to share
