I saw a rainbow today
Perfect, so perfect
but transient, fleeting
A chance meeting
of raindrops and sunlight,
on their way

And it reminded me
Of a time when we were perfect
Every moment there to treasure
A time when we were measured
For each other

And now it seems to be
Those moments are just memories
Slowly fading like the rainbow
Sublime when we were
You and me
